Just completed building this Dragon 1:72 scale Apollo 11 Saturn V model, which stands approximately 5' 6" tall.

The model can also be separated into the various stages, showing each of the stage's engine configurations.

Overall the model was relatively easy to assemble with the majority of the time spent painting. Those of you with a very keen eye will notice I've taken some artistic liberty with the paint scheme, but on the whole it's meant to be a fairly accurate representation of the real thing.

If you're thinking of doing the same model or have any questions I'd be happy to help.

This is great! It just reminded me how ingenious the engineering was on this mission!

Thank you WilliamR, I agree, possibly one of 'mans' greatest achievements of all time. It gives me pleasure every time I look at it.
