I do not know much about this lighter except that my Dad had something like this. I always thought it had something to do with when he was in the War -- or they called them Trench Lighters? Not sure as that is memory of his words from like 40 years ago when my Dad was still alive. Do not know where my Dad's went -- but when I saw this like 10 years ago, I HAD to buy it!!
Anyone have any info on this -- is welcomed!!

lol......I bought this in 1997 as I still have the receipt for it. Bought, and filed it away in a box. When I moved here found it. So pulled it out here and Yeah, there is some print there -- just posted -- as have not had the time to look around. Gonna do that now, as I doing some things on my computor today. So see what I find.....Plus going be taking some more pics of things.

Hi Phil. Do not think trench art -- but I think these are from around the War period. I found something that says IMCO also made some.

Looks like a pipe lighter I saw once. Designed to hold upside down and to block the wind. Or explode it ! Depending on if your sharing genius talent on JackAss. Lol!!
Yeah, I think they were advertised to work in the wind....or upside down LOL
Here in Austria in the 60s and 70s every 3rd smoker used one these lighters!
