      I don't know much about ladies garments, but mens clothes that had buttons on them usually were sold with an extra matching button in case one got lost.

      Fabric covered buttons were usually made with the fabric of the garment they were attached to (self-covered buttons). It was common in the 1950s and/or 1960s. So this probably came off of (or with, as an extra) a garment of the same fabric.

      Red and white fabric button is posted on a separate posting. The red, white, and black fabric button. If not that one then, Idk what you are talking about.
