I bought this fan in 2001 for $5. It's a GE, but what year?

This fan sits 15" tall and is solid metal. I bought it a garage sale in 2001 for $5. I bought it from a woman who was liquidating property belonging to a former roommate.

Does it have a model number? Looks late 1940s to me but that is just a guess.

If it does have a model number, it would be on the second photo. It is too difficult to read. It does have instructions to operate and lubricate. The fan works.

Yep that is the one. A pretty neat fan and unusual. They did come up with a similar one that is more common about 1938.
I think you can mark it Mystery Solved.

      What do these sell for?

The fan is a circa 1931 GE Quiet Blade. They were made from 1931 to around 1934 when they did a styling change over. They are not very common. That was the only size they came in.
