Art Deco Manning Bowman "Foursome" Cocktail Shaker

This rare Art Deco chrome cocktail shaker was manufactured by the Manning Bowman Company, circa 1940. The sleek, Machine Age design has incised speed lines on the body of the shaker. It was known as the "Foursome" shaker (catalog #357) and can hold a pint of liquid. According to Jim Linz in his "Art Deco Chrome" book, a 1941 ad described it "...just the thing for all kinds of 'foursome' parties: bridge, golf, tennis, or theater." The original cost of it was $4.00.

In one of the pics, I've paired it with a couple of Art Deco chrome cocktail cups from the Evercraft giftware line of the Everedy Company of Frederick, Maryland (circa 1930's). The cups of a streamlined, stepped base to them. I literally have a couple of dozen of the cocktail cups, which I've collected over the years when they were plentiful an often mislabeled as ice cream or sherbet cups on Ebay.
