I would of been about 13 at this time it's taken in my girlfriends back yard & the kangaroo was her pet. You could have them back in those days without it being a problem try having one now as a pet it would cause a bit of a stir

Thanks everyone for the loves & the great comments I didn't realise how many discussions the old photo's would bring about it great & I'm glad I could add & bring back other peoples memories also. That was my friends place it was the oldest house in the street at the time not that we still didn't have the out back dunny but the houses were made of fibro then & her house was the old wooden slats with the wood burner for the stove I loved that place & those people they gave me so many happy memories.

Thanks Zowie for the loves and comments you put to my posts.When Ricardo my younger son was 5 and began school had to ware glasses and a a compensation we bought him a turtle in the main department store of Cordoba Argentina where we live. We did not know that it was a protected specie and its trade was forbidden.... for us it was just a common animal ....
kivatinitz this is a kangaroo not sure after reading your comment if you realised that. The aboriginal's eat them well some do not all & kangaroo also I have tried that it's a beautiful red meat really sweet I don't think I could come at turtle
