This dining set has been in my family since at least 1945 but could have been purchased in the '30s. It consists of a table, 6 chairs and a buffet. One of the chairs has arms. Leaves slide out from each end of the table to expand seating from 6 to 10. It seems to be made of oak. The chairs had been reupholstered at least once by the time these pictures were taken. I have not been able to find a maker's mark on any of the pieces. I haven't been able to find anything on the web that resembles this set.
The style seems to me to be Art Deco but I am no expert. I would like to know if there is a more correct or exact name for the style.
I would also like to know who made this set and when it was made.
