I had to go a long way to get this vase .. in very yucky stormy weather ...
Designed by Milan Metelak in 1958 at the Harrachov Glass works .
White opal glass wrapped in orange combed down fibres, overlaid with colourless glass .
Part of his Albatros Series.
10 1/2 " high

Just fabulous, Marty! The ones I've seen have more of a darker red. This one is much nicer !!

I had had one or two of these decades ago before I knew what they were and at least one this colour and a redder one .
Thanks to the Harrach book and good mates like you I now know and want to acquire more post WW11 Bohemian Art Glass !!!

The colour, the way the lines droop into the base, the squashed shape...great piece!

Very very nice oz I don't mind this at all I love the Tangerine colour or that's what it looks like to me. I hope all is well for you & yours. These storms have been for a lot of people down South. Four to many lives lost not good. Have a safe day mate
