This stretch just north of Victorville is my favorite section of Route 66 in California. This little town has had a recent rebirth. Just two years ago it was almost all abandoned buildings and closed businesses. Now almost all the businesses are open again. The Mohawk Gas Station and Mini-Mart are still closed but they still look good.
The colorful cow is now a pizza place, oh it is the Cross Eyed Cow. Hamburgers and hot dogs are more my thing for Route 66 but I hear it is good.
And yes there is an ostrich farm.
Thank you

Wow! I love that sign and wish I had it in our sign forest. That’s a great one!
Thank you very much Rattletrap.
I hitchhiked ,all around in areas where the interstate wasn’t complete
It transferred onto Highway 66 ,back in the early 70s,,,,
some places hadn’t been touched since the Great Depressing Press
especially since, I did a lot of walking ,seem like about 40 years
Thank you very much Vynil. Route 66 is like that out in the desert. They don't tear down the old buildings there.
