Wow, that's a fantastic collection, Sir TallCakes!! I love the little red one, so pretty, post that one in a thread. But these aren't all of your plates, where are the milk glass, etc?

And to think I have one little repro cakestand in my cupboards, lol. :P

thanks Katherine : ) these are just the stands from the 'front room'; much of the milk glass is in the dining area, and more are spread all throughout the house ; )

An impressive collection and a great spatial construction too :)

Hi Anita, I'm not familiar with cut glass; but you might looks very closely with a loop or magnifying glass to see if you might find an etched maker's mark.

      thank you Ivonne : )

TallCakes, every time I come to this thread to look at it again, I am in awe of the beauty of those cake stands all collected together like that. It makes a beautiful picture; you have a great eye for composition, and you are a terrific photographer. I must tell you I've been waiting and hoping you would take a photo of your project after it was done, with the cake stands all displayed on their freshly painted shelves. Is that going to happen or no? It's okay if not, this picture and the others you have shared are treasure enough, and we can just imagine the other breathtaking beauties. :)

thank you kindly Katherine : ) The shelving project is a very slow moving one; I'm a bit slow to decide on specifics for the shelving design and will likely need to hire out the work. And currently I'm working on re-seating the dining chairs with Shaker tape. Then I'm gonna do the same to a bent arm rocker. Maybe I'll take some photos of that project to share...
