When I first saw this at Volunteer's of America I though it was someones art project. Then I turned it over and I saw the red "Dime" mark on the bottom. I have a few wall pockets and small bird bud vases with this same made in czecho...slovakia stamp on them. The rainbow iridescent glaze is called "Lusterware". There are quite a few of these little handled lusterware trophy vases online. The colors range from peach to oranges, yellows, and blues. This one has a nice looped handle with no damage that I can see. Not bad for two dollars. -Mike-
stunning!!!
Thank you Sean :)
I love the design Mike!!
Thanks Rick :)..... I didn't see another one like it online either .
Nice. I've seen a lot of these, but never one with handles like that. Pretty amazing it has survived all this time without one of them breaking. It s also more unusual with the green highlights rather than blue or most commonly black. Good find. I never find anything Czech at thrifts.
Thanks fishiowa :)...frankly neither do I. Just an odd bit of pottery here and there, but never any of the glass vases like Kralik. Welz, Loetz and such.
Not bad at all for $2.00...well done!!...:-)
Thanks inky :) for the "love" and comment !
