This bird was made by Licio Zanetti. It's been hard to pin down a date, but it is purported to be from the 70's. It's made of clear glass with long white filaments along the wings which are then covered by faint white threads designed to mimic feathers. It sits on a large angular base which stands in stark contrast to long, graceful and smooth lines of the wings. This is a huge piece measuring 20" h x 20" w and weighs a hefty 11 lbs. As with all of his pieces, it is signed on the base, "Zanetti L." As always, thanks for looking.

@Rose... One of the things that I appreciate about art glass, is when there are contrasts between color, shapes, textures or lines. THAT excites me and brings an added dimension to a piece....
So right RICK!!
One of my Fav pieces here are the colors of Blue / Green on this one -- always will be my fav. Kinda 2 weird colors to be put together -- but OH -- how they work together!!! It always the WOW factor for me on this one!!
