    (123 items)

This gem was probably made in Bohemia or /Germany around 1830 .
The body is made from a thin layer of clear glass covered in a thicker layer of Gold Ruby glass ( glass that has gold in it which makes it red ) .
The whole flask has been hand cut ( on a wheel ) creating gem like facets of deep rich ruby colour .
    Amazingly good condition .
When made this was an expensive object .
    10 3/4 " high .
Though not Art Glass I could not find a category to fit this in .
Antique glass would be good ...

well no matter who, what, where, why and how, it's stunning. To think they did colour at this time is amazing too.

The wheel processing is interesting. And the fact that that region was doing such detailed cutting at that time is also nice to know. I'm reading up on Art Nouveau and periods prior. Do let me know if you get further info...I havent read yet but I think your previous two are of interest to me as they are similar to one I have interest.

I love your collection Marty, you have the most amazing taste. I so look forward to your and Pennys emails. I'm getting in a position to build again which is good :)

Oh oz I love the cut on this it is truly stunning & the colour is to die for lucky you I wish I could buy the items I would truly love to have but were I'm at there is no space I want to see the owner of the park to get rid of a lounge that I don't use so I can at least put a cabinet in to buy some amazing things. I don't want to go into a house or flat to much for me to cope with these days

I don't buy off the net not enough experience & not enough cash. knowing my luck it would cost me a fortune & not be what I thought. If it's in front of be & I still bum out then I will cope that. Have a top day mate looking forward to seeing more

I think it still is ozmarty but it has fantastic waterfalls there that makes up for it if you can get a fine day for a stroll. The last time we were there on the side of the track just hiding in the grass was a b..... snake my old man grad me by the arm to pull me out of the way & that scared me more then the snake & I hate snakes. The other day it was a beautiful day but we weren't there for checking them out as it wasn't a good day for me I just needed to get out of the cabin to do something different, my pain killers just weren't killing enough of it so I had to be happy with the drive & I was so all wasn't wasted. Seen some really top items in there op shop but everything I had my eye on wasn't for sale. My luck
