I received this desk when my aunt Willa passed away about 10 years ago. She died a week before her 100th birthday. I do not know anything about it but she worked for the treasury department in Wash. DC so it is probably from the east coast. I was thinking of refinishing it but wanted to make sure before I did it if it was better to keep in original condition.
