Still a mystery for me... Never seen similar, as all hand made, thinking custom made.
Bought as brass, tested as more than 14k!
Looks like a "magot chinois", matt yellow gold, leaves are blue and green vitreous enamel, a nice almandine garnet cab, modern cut diamond held in tiny prongs.
1.3/4" long, 3/4" wide. Heavy 9 grams, that is why I knew it was not brass...
Love his tongue out!
A facetious mystery :-P
Wow Jean! You were prompt on him! Thank you :-))
Very intricate jewelry
I'm reminded of the Laughing Buddah - “Budai” or “Hotei” .... especially the face on the Meissen versions.
I think it is great grandfather of The guy from Kiss's rock band! Same tongue!! haha

Thank you all 9 lovers,! Special for Vetraio (saw once a porcelain Hotei with moving hands and tonge coming out and in!), Agram and Torakisscat :-))

Nice find! Love the garnet. I would say it's art nouveau period.
Very unusual!
Thanks BelleEpoque, Katherine and Lisa for your comments and love!
BelleEpoque and Lisa, the enamel though vitreous, doesn't have the quality and colors of art Nouveau.
It may well be a marriage due to the open links!
neat find.............
Hehe, you want the right to use pic of the top for your profile?
For the enamel, guilloché is not Art Nouveau, but from Edwardian era (not too far!)
When I speak of the colors, This green and blue is very basic with no additionnal hue, that's why I consider it modern, aka rather 1950...
Collective thanks to the 19 lovers :-D
Thank you Floridapicker!
