What year do you think these FAKE signs were made ? Not 1933 that's for sure. Nice work but still a little sloppy around the yellow lines don't ya think. What she worth in hard earned U.S . money ? Fount ain letters look good don't ya think ?
So far over $12.000 spent on these reproduction signs and counting . That's just in 30 days !!!!!
The last picture is the correct size for this sign LARGE ....Not 18”X 24” size.

Amazing...what a scam. I would think the back of these signs would give away age but most (new collectors) would fall for it.

Size does matter when collecting old Coca-Cola signs. The authentic 30's porcelain signs are large and heavy, 3x5, 4x8, etc. Fakes of this size would be difficult and expensive to ship from south of the Himalayas to either side of the Mason-Dixon line. So the fakers make 'em small. Still good enough to suck in unsuspecting novices (see below, ouch). But any collector worth their salt will never mistake them for The Real Thing. Keep up the good fight.

If you go to completed items on the same seller and see the amount of money changing hands it would blow your mind on how many novice collectors are out there. Maybe it's the Pickers show that have people buying things that are to good to be true.

Ebay just likes making money !! . I wonder how many get returned . There should be a law against selling Fake Items . That was a lot of money for that fake sign . Maybe CW could help they have connection with Ebay ?

One doesn't have to be a creative genius to imagine an ocean container of these fake signs floating into the Port of Galveston. "Fresh to Market"

I've tried reporting sellers to Ebay and they simply don't care. They have made it difficult. And I've reported fake auctions on CW only to have my post deleted for "calling out people that may or may not be scamming folks." Its painful to watch people bid and pay on fake items.

I've had horrible experiences with EBay as they do not honor their own contracts & appear more interested in listing commissions than in being honest. Their Customer Service Dept is in Manilla & all reps are foreign & nice but unhelpful and restricted from helping! I avoid EBay these days as a result of getting ripped off by Them! They have no honor from my experience.

It’s time to remind collectors to stay informed about your next purchase.
