Thanks Dave, i forgot that the U.S. entered WW2 later. The condition is excellent, that was also the doubt for me..looked more to me like an 1970 - 1980 item. Glad t0 hear that it's an original 1940...

Yes it's a real one, but the worst restoration ever(you can call it abuse with paint) , bought it anyway but very cheap. Gonne restore it properly.
Only possible in Germany, they give us europeans a bad name.. lol
Thanks Dave, it looks the most like that French Airplane cest, has the same dimensions i think. But it's a strange colour, i will see it tomorrow again, so i will let you know.
In Holland it was only a show piece in a bar. It still only works with us coins, you have to put in 1 x 10ct or 2 x 5ct for 1 bottle. Still works great!
