This training program i got as çhristmas-present from a good friend, it's a training program for managers used from 1941 to late 50 (i think?). It's great piece in mint condition and very rare here in the Netherlands.
I have some questions: has anyone seen anotherone like this, is it rare? , Is it from WW2 ? , i don't seen any references in the program to WW2 , the copyright says MCMXLI (1941) but in the tekst there is nothing about the war, i think that's strange.. Maybe re- issued after the war?
And, has it any value?, My friend said, he bought it on a dutch auction-site very cheap, he was the only bidder, lol. And paid probable less than $25.
Looking forward to your comments..
Bart.
Not rare, but certainly scarce especially in this condition. This being the 1941 edition, it would have likely been printed late 1940. And America didn't officially enter WWII until Dec 8, 1941 (the day after Pearl Harbor). I couldn't find any training manuals listed in the books. I'd say your friend got a good deal and you got a great present.
Thanks Dave, i forgot that the U.S. entered WW2 later.
The condition is excellent, that was also the doubt for me..looked more to me like an 1970 - 1980 item. Glad t0 hear that it's an original 1940 C.C. piece. We don't have a lot of pre-war coca cola in Holland and is very hard to find.
