Vintage Servez "COCA COLA" Metal Serving Tray featuring Vintage Bird House and flowers Motif with Slogan "Delicioux and Rafraichessant".
I am so exceited, I just came back from a road trip to Freleighsberg QC and found this baby in an oldish antique store.
I am so in love.
This particular model is a 1957 original with a blue border and background with a still life motif with a old wooden Bird House with a wooden model Bird and various flowers!<br>
The tray is clearly labelled in various places with only French words like "Servez" in place of serve<br>
showing that is is Coca Cola Limited Edition Canadian only made model Serving Tray for the french Canadian market.<br>
On various sites and several Coca Cola Tray guides, this is rated a more rare tray of a value ober $175 when it is in almost new shape.<br>
The tray measures 13 1/4 inches in length and 10 1/2 inches in width for each dimension.<br>
This tray is know as a rare Canadian Original Issue from 1957.<br>
For a 60 year old tray, it is used with some minor wear from age (but some signs of usage)<br>
and overall, the tray remains in very nice very good condition.<br>
It is super clean and has been gently windexed and gently waxed with authentic turtle wax.<br>
It does have some edge wear and a a few small dings, and some damage to the upper decorative side,<br>
including a 1 cm chip on the paint on the uper left side on the outer rim<br>
and few other chips in the center bottom edge, and the general bottom right corner has a bit of a rusty rough spot.<br>
I have also cleaned it with vinegar to remove most of the rust and corrosion showing a few small exposed metal chips.<br>
The Top side overall is very clean with only a few minor flaws and displays very nice with great vivid Robin eggshell blue colors.<br>
The underside has some minor signs of scratching and surface wear from being used with a minor but of rusting, which has mostly been cleaned up.<br>
I am sooooo keeping this one!!!!
