Bought in Singapore Curiosity shop 10 years ago where these Anniversary models where produced under license. Circa 1972.

My interest is that all these models had a registration model number on the Decal badge as shown, and I have found such models online all giving the issue number from 1 to 50,000.

I would suggest model No 1 would be collectable but this has no numbering!!!!

This one has no serial number five(5) zeros!!!!!! and this was what created my interest, because it was manufactured in Singapore, so is this particular one a prototype or can someone help in giving a reason for this unusual model without the series number?

Come on you Trekkies collectors, can you help?

I believe this would the 7th anniversary of Star Trek The Next Generation. Those were made in 1993 by Playmates. They go for about $50 in the box. Not sure what being numberless will do to the value.

      Thanks
      I meant 1992 not 1972!!!
As you would know collectibles are valued by their rarity regardless of period or age,so my query is ,is this one rare in as much that it was never issued and if so how do I find out whether this is the case The original Singapore company no longer manufacturing, and when contact the current company they had no idea of what I was requesting or not interested in further checking the old files. 00000 of 50000 would be as you think, the first one produced, before they were mass produced on an assembly line. proto-type isn't really correct term, as there were several thousand produced just like it. pre-model might be better term

I did a little research and I think what you have is a salesman's sample as they were numbered 00000 or AAAAA. Possibly a test shot.
And as a collector I know rarity isn't everything but it helps.

Well if these weren't sold in stores, hard to see them being salesman's samples. A pre-production model would be my guess.

They were sold in stores. This one probably not.
