BelleEpoque

This is an original Jugendstil sketch by Otto Prutscher (1880-1949). Prutscher was an Austrian architect and designer, and a prominent member of the Wiener Werkstätte. His designs include beautiful furniture, buildings, home accessories, and jewellery. I don’t know what this design would have been for; perhaps stained glass. It is a small aquarelle on paper and it bears the stamps both of Prutscher and the Wiener Werkstätte. Made c. 1900-1910.
stunning!!!!!!
Stunning is not enough and too common...
Precious!!!!
A FABULOUS ITEM !!!!!
Thanx Sean, kyra and Vetraio! And all who have loved it!
Very nice indeed! Did it come framed like this? The surrounding matte looks like it could be WW too. I find it curious that it is stamped on the front. This is suggestive of the rendering being from WW design archives. Definitely worth researching further.
Hi cogito, thanks for your input. I indeed bought it as is. It might have come from Prutscher's 'Nachlass' or, as you say, from the WW archives. Perhaps it would be worth checking with an expert to learn more. I appreciate your suggestion.
Oh! Wow!!!.. fantastic!!!'...:-)
