Hi, this is my first share here, hoping someone might know something about this sculpture/figurine that I found some time ago.

It is made from reddish clay, and has a nice white glaze. It is marked with artist initials A.R.TH. on front and has a back stamp/mark that looks like a flower (or rather 3 flowers) in the middle and J and B on each side of it. The sculpture is 17cm tall and was found in a thrift store in Denmark. The style of the sculpture and the look of the back stamp makes me think it must be from around 1890-1930, and probably northern European. Any info especially on the back stamp would be appreciated (since I haven't been able to find it anywhere yet).

Love it, too - both the figurine and the mystery! Mark doesn't ring a bell at all, unfortunately...

Since I first did some research on danish artists that could fit the letters in the signature, I kept going back to Alfred Rudolph Thielemann (1851-1927). The problem with Thielemann is, that according to Weilbach (https://www.kulturarv.dk/kid/VisWeilbach.do?kunstnerId=10955&wsektion=alle), all of his artworks are privately owned, so it is impossible to verify if the signature indeed would match. I meet a fellow art collector yesterday that I hadn't seen in a while, and after showing him the pictures and giving him some time to trying to recollect who the artist might be, he also came up with Thielemann. This is in no way a confirmation of identification, I've still not seen any of the other sculptures that Thielemann has done, but I do think that this initial hunch might pan out. The backstamp, however, is still a total mystery.
