The owner has never changed her furniture. It was purchased and placed almost 60 years ago. 2 Small round tables are marked Hans. C. Andersen and are a tri-star base. Chairs and sofa unmarked. Chairs have lovely teak on the arms, almost like the "paws" on a Papa Bear Chair. Glass table top sits on a teak base on a vintage carpet. The large lamp on the left side of the photo is 52" tall. A true time capsule room. Enjoy!
Stunning!!!
What a great room. Wonderful!
Even the structure of the home looks fantastic.
Just so fashionable !!!
WOW !!!
Yes ... Can you show a picture of the home ? ... Period architecture is interesting as the furniture ...
This home was featured in a recent newspaper article with stunning pictures. Contents are being sold through auction at the end of May. House is sold. Wish I could afford to buy some of these? Very interesting link, story, pictures, great post!!!
OMG!! The architecture, dazzling, a masterpiece. The furnishings, to die for. The fellow in the photograph, achingly handsome. The only thing I wish is that they had shown more photos, especially of the kitchen. I absolutely adore the glass coffee table, that is perfection.
I am going to the home this weekend and will get a few more photos to share. I agree this is a stunning home. It is quite exciting to get to see it in person.
Thank you for the great image. Love it.
gorgeous!!
Ask Her if She remembers Her Grandson Dave? Just wanting to check if this was getting passed on to ME?? LOL
OMG -- Stunning !!!
Bravo!!!
Beautiful house. It saddens me to hear the furniture was sold off. Gems like this are become rarer by the day. With that said, the coffee table looks like a Pepe Mendoza - $6,500 on 1st dibs at the time of the comment. Luv it all.
