Brunswick-Balke-Collender Bar, Pool Hall Art

I have been familiar with Brunswick-Balke- Collender Co. for some time now. I have owned several bars and backbars made by them. It was a surprise when I saw this framed marquetry Buffalo, and turned it over to find their label. After a little research I found it to be quite rare. They were made to decorate early bars and pool halls. I have found several Lions and Tigers on line but no Buffalo. Being from Western South Dakota, and just a few miles from Custer State Park, home of one of the original Buffalo herds, I was quite excited to get this.
