    Two maybe barrell stave trunks I believe.
    Nice condition, one has brass straps with brass bosses, the other iron straps with star tacks.
    Anybody have any clues for me?

      i got one similar like this on my site thought might be a sea trunk what size is this one

      there are two seperate trunks, the two right pictures have brass band and bosses
      ill get the measurements tomorrow

      To hazard a guess, they look like ammunition boxes that were pulled along w/ the artillery, and stored the charges and fuse. I have seen something like these before at re-enactments strapped to the rear of a cannon.
