I was given the case on the left, which has" Spirit of St Louis" on the
nose and numbers/letters on the tail. Several years later I
saw the other one for sale without the name /numbers and had to have it. Which is the rarer of the two ? I suspect the right hand one would be the earlier version. Both German stamped. Any additional info would be appreciated !

I was in Coventry airport for an air show when the replica air craft crashed in 2003. I'm not surprised because there was no front window.
