I'm wondering if the numbers 6 57 are the actual date of this 7up crate? Didn't mean to cut off the sides there. It's got a metal frame. I know I've had it since the 80's and really never researched it.

    Just wondering...

    Enjoy.

Yes shareurp... - those are generally the date the crate was made - my 7-up sectioned bottle crate was actually stamped on the inside, along with the crate maker's name. Both of my old Bordens milk crates have the dates actually "branded in" not stenciled on. Here is the same thing as yours with a 1969 date.

It sure is Agh! Theirs apparently hasn't been used as much as mine, which is fine with me as mine has great memories I don't want to let go of. Some things in life are just like that, you know?

Thanks for the info and verifying that for me.

Great! I love old advertising. What a bonus it has its date! :) so often its best guesses. Interesting info & links from Agh too, I know to look for dates on crates now :)

That's right Vfran. yes, yes, yes and yes ;) I really do love it when I can identify something when it's given here. So many times I look for things and it seems that something is always left out. Here you usually get at least close if not on the money!
