I've had my eye on these all week. Two more interesting Lois Van Vleet pottery creations for my collection which now totals seven. I found five of her pieces last year. Most are signed and dated from 2001 on. I've been finding a piece here and there never paying more than a few dollars. Really don't know much about her except she's from pottery country here in Ohio. Apparently Goodwill felt these were worth something now because the price was exorbitant. I knew yellow tags were going half price today so I waited all week for Sunday to roll around. Always a line at the door on Sunday and I was at the end. Pretty sure I was the only one that wanted these and there they sat on the floor of the showcase wall waiting for me. Swoop and grab to the cashier and out the door in 5 minutes. Put them in the car and went back in for round two. but that's another story. -Mike-
Ha ha, oh Mike, we collectors are a breed apart, aren't we? :) Beautiful vases to add to your collection. :)
Price went up on round two ????
Thanks Katherine :)..... I would have been really disappointed if they were gone had I waited till Monday. I do hate crowds though.
Well not exactly eye..... I ran back in to take a quick look at the pictures and I came out with another large watercolor. but that was full price. Not signed unfortunately but I liked it.
beautiful!!
Another great find Mike... Love 'em!
Thanks so much Rick :)
I used Miscrosoft Paint's paste feature Ken . It will ask you "paste from". I keep all my pics for a post on my desktop. So paste from desktop when it asks. It over lays the first photo with another and then you can drag it down to what ever size you want to make picture in picture inserts. You can do that as many times as you want so I created the bottom shot for each vase. Sometimes you have more pictures than the four they allow. This was my work around for that restriction.
