This vase is one I recently bought at the monthly Sydney Antique and Collectors Fair.

The sticker on it says "Angus and Coote", a large chain of jewellery stores here in Australia.
I have no doubt this vase is by Sanyu Japan, and maybe they had a deal going with Angus and Coote because I have two other Sanyu pieces with the same sticker.

It's tall, 36cm, green to amber glass, and some radically hot worked clear casing it.

    I think it's a hoot!

It's pretty in your face isn't it Rick!! Thanks.
Sanyu loved to hot work their clear casing. They often applied ribs and frills and yes, lumps. All very distinctive and to me great fun. They often catch the light well too.
Now if you want that lumpy vase build some muscles and strong shelves, and don't put it near your gorgeous delicate stuff. OK?
