I reckon it's by the Fratelli Fanciullacci !!!

It's beautiful and really well potted.

Vetrai50 that open triangular detail is what caught my eye....never have seen that before.

      Nice mid-century design!

      Just fantastic jug.
I'm not so sure it's Fratelli Fanciullacci although Vetraio is usually right!
The base seems too flat and I have never seen one of theirs' with a handle like that.
Maybe ask the Italian Facebook Group?

That is one awesome pitcher!!! I have to tell you, I don't think that says Italy either... even the numbers to me looks like Chinese or Japanese writing and those look like symbols instead of saying Italy. Sorry Kev. And Karen is right, vetraio usually is right...

I love the shape and decor of this pitcher, thanks for sharing it, melaniej. :)

Sorry Sue it does say Italy! That was their way of signing it - lots of makers did it like that!!
The main reason I don't think it's FF Melanie is the base - FF typically had a ring base that was usually glazed in the centre. I have also never seen them do a cut out like that, they were more likely to scraffito or add texture. The decor itself screams Italy 50s but that doesn't mean FF.
The clay colour looks right but there were many many potters working from Florence in the 50s and most records are lost. I hope you get an answer from the FB group.

The writer of that piece invited others to send inquiries, perhaps you'd want to pursue that. :)
