a nicely handpainted chinese qianjiang ware floor vase from the late qing dynastie period with an amazing size of 22.75inches in height which is 58cm. a nice piece of chinese craftsmanship with great attention to details…

the vase shows two elephant heads as handles which were quite common on vases from the guangxu period and beside very lively painted birds, rocks, pegonies and a tree on the front side it shows a poem with the artist signature of zhu shao quan on the backside.

i haven’t found out if the year it was made is mentioned in the calligraphy, but if I will get further informations i will certainly add them. all of the paintings details are nicely rendered. look at the feathers, the rocks, the flowers and also the outlines of the crane birds.

these qianjiang pieces with the mark .„guan yao nei Zao“ which literally means made within the imperial kiln are very rare to find and pieces by the imperial kiln artists are generally of good quality.
