This beautiful vase is from Kurata's Ouvrages Manuels series, a series of vases from the 1980s (I believe but not proven) that celebrated their hand made works.
A white glass ground littered with silver fleck and a cranberry rim for contrast. It has then be made matte, and knowing Kurata's studio style this would have been done by sandblasting.
The shape is beautiful (and is a popular one with Kurata at this time) and the whole vase is calming and lovely.

Oh how I love this one Karen! The white with silver is simple but oh so beautiful, and to top it off (excuse the pun), the cranberry rim! WoW!
