katherines…
(247 items)
So I've been noticing lately that CW S&T works in mysterious ways. Like take for instance yesterday. A thread was posted asking for information on a teddy bear. I recognized the bear as one that I too owned. I went to look for it, hoping it still might have the tag to give the poster some information. This is the thread about the bear (I will post the link below in the first comment so you can go directly to the thread):

Now, leaving that for a moment, some time ago, there was a thread posted here about a Lalique perfume bottle. And I recognized the bottle, because I had a miniature version. I never knew it was by Lalique! When I read the thread, I went hunting for the bottle amongst my glass display shelf but couldn't find it. The last I remember seeing it was when we moved, over a year ago, and I thought I had either lost it or given it away. Made me sad to think so but such is life. This is the Lalique thread (also posted below in the first comment):

So, back to yesterday, when I saw the bear thread, as I said, I went to check my bears (I keep them all in a basket in the living room below my glass display), and found the matching bear to the one in the thread. When I pulled him out of the bear basket, next to him was the tiny Lalique bottle! Must have fell in there when I moved over a year ago!
The first three pictures are the Lalique, the last picture is the little bear (w/friend) who saved my Lalique for me all this time. :) Thanks for looking.

And a DJ saved my life !!! The threads binding us all !!!!
Thanks for the love, mikelv85, Manikin, kyratango, aghcollect, vetraio50. :)
kyratango, I had given the little bottle up for lost, and here it was nestled in with the little bear from the thread from yesterday! Isn't that the darndest thing? :)
vetraio, LOL, the 80s are calling, they want their record back!! Yes, the threads that bind us all together, everywhere and here. :)
Thanks for the love, Zowie, and oldandsilly. :)
OAS, thanks, I'm not much help any other way so the least I can do is try and give people a reason to smile. :) And thank you for the compliment! :)
OAS, to be here on this site with such knowledgeable and friendly people who take the time to help the lost souls like me with their little bits and pieces, that's the great wonder of it all. I stand in awe and appreciation of you, and the others like you, and am so glad and appreciative to be here among you. :)
Thanks for the love, fortapache. :)
I love these two too :)
I'm sure the bears come to life when everyone's asleep, & took a fancy to your lalique!! :-). Lol

Thanks, Lulu, I missed a lot of love when I was asleep, I guess, lol. Thank you. :)
Surfdub, you could be right, they may be rearranging my glass at night. :)
kivatinitz, thank you for the nice compliment. :)
Sean, thank you for the compliment, and love for my bear and bottle, very kind. :)
Thanks for the love, Trey. :)
This perfume bottle has the plastic doves stopper. The collectible bottle has glass doves.
Thanks for the love, Efesgirl. :)
Thanks, dj-reverb, this is a very tiny bottle, and yes the stopper is plastic as I recall. My other slightly larger bottle may have the glass doves, but it's been so long since I've taken a look. Too many perfume bottles! :)
