I have a small collection of floriform vases, and am always looking to add more, so I jumped at the chance to add another to my collection, with special thanks to a good friend. These flower-shaped vases are so striking, and come in so many color combinations and flower types that it is always exciting to see a new one.
At first, I thought my latest addition was a straight forward green and clear floriform, but it actually has quite a bit of opalescent coloration to the petals that give it a pretty blue tone. The petals are also much more veined than my other examples, and are very shiny, with almost a flashed appearance to the outer petals. It measures 7.5in tall x 6.5in wide. Unusually, the bottom of the stem at the tip has been cut slightly, where as my other floriforms are cut straight across at the stem. Whether this is for the vase to sit flat or to hide an old chip, I don't know, but it doesn't detract from the vase. I am currently attributing this vase to Kralik, who made many types of floriforms, but there is evidence that other companies made floriform vases, as well.
(Oh my gosh - I just realized that this is my 100th post here on CW! Well, a nice one for that, then. :) )

Inky, you are right - I remember when you did a picture of a group of floriforms together, and it was great to see. I'll have to try to set one up! Thanks! :)
