I bought this lovely old electric jug decades ago and just recovered packed away in my garage. I don't recall every seeing one in this gorgeous colour blue. The lid slides across to open, it is in perfect condition and the Element and electric cord are as good as new. The plug is inscribed Hotpoint and I think made of Bakelite, the three point plug has a mark R interwoven to C. The Jug stands 22 H cm and approximately 48 cm at roundest point. Base of jug marked 355 and 94 imprinted. Other marks are hard to define. That's about all that I know, hope you like it.:)

It is a gorgeous jug Lulu. Fantastic!
A lot of these were made by Fowler for Hotpoint - does that help with the marks any?

I once had a little collection of Electric jugs that i sold to the top collector of the time . They are a very unique Australian item.
this is one blokes rave on them ( I would add that some of the really earliest jugs did have bakelite lids cut from slabs not molded . even before the ceramic lids )

      I like yours very much

Hi ozmarty, thank you for your interest and comments. I didn't know that they were uniquely Australian! although have seen them around for years, and still occasionally come across them. Although not a collector of Electric Jugs, I was taken by the colour of this one (a few decades ago) and haven't seen another in this lovely dense blue sponge work. The video was very interesting so I have learnt something today. :) and thank you for the luv.
Thank you for the luv sarahoff and SEAN68. :)
