I will like to know more about this nice piece of furniture. I don't have the key(s) to the drawer. Most pieces similar have two small drawers built above it. This one only two full size drawers. The feet of this piece has small wheels that are all intact. When bottom drawer is removed just frame of this piece is visible no bottom.

      Hi
      Ccret1
This a very attractive little dresser, you got there, the wood named is American Tiger Oak Serpentine(some call also Zebra oak).
That very nice that you have the original wheel on(not usual to see)they gone most of the time.
Usual also those dresser use to have some Mirror stick in place by two kind of wing on each side.
I will estimate the dresser date from 1920-40
Original hardware also gain some value to the piece, handle, Caster, lock.

I agree with Alan except for the age. I believe this is well before 1940 and quite possibly before 1920. With the bottom drawer out or looking from the bottom are there nail holes where there might have once been a bottom panel? Older higher level pieces had what is commonly called a dust panel under the drawers. Dust panels were eventually done away with to keep costs down but are still used in some furniture. Is there a panel under the top drawer?

Yes, fhrjr2, could be older to...
I forgot about the dust panel, it's good you remember that,

Alan - I am old and dusty myself so I remembered. Also the casters seem to make it somewhat older. I can't see them clearly or up close but I suspect they would probably be helpful in establishing a fairly close date. No joinery is shown so I am just making an educated guess.

OMG I have this same dresser I was alway told it is called a blanket chest. Mine does not have handles and I have no dust shelf. Happy to see you have such a great piece
