Have always been curious about where this stein came from. It's been at my parent's house for at least 40 years. It's a man climbing up to meet a woman in a window. The wall reads "Fensterln." Two other panels state "Trink Was Klar" and "Lieb Was Rar." There is a roman numeral two on the bottom, but no other markings. It does have a lid
Fensterln = to climb up a ladder to the window of a girl's room (may be to enter the room) with the intention to start a love affair or if the love affair already started but it's not easy to practice love otherwise.
"Drink what is clear"
"Love what is rare"
Why you don't show the lid?
i added a pic of the lid.
