Recent addition to my growing toy trunk collection. It is approximately 18 by 11 and 12 inches tall. What I love about this one is the size of the slats (2 inches wide) and the hardware in relation to the size of the trunk. It is a small trunk with parts that are proportioned for a full size trunk. This one only required a little work, the original covering was removed at some point over the years so the hard work was already done. I used tung oil on the wood, polished the nail heads, painted the metal and added handles. I acquired this one from a fellow trunk lover, Jim at hmsantiquetrunks.
Very Nice KathyKay
I also love the larger size slats on a small trunk
Its something you rarely see.
Any Interior left in it?
Thanks bkb5859 - no interior. Looking at the inside it appears it never had a tray, no supports for one or holes where one would have been nailed. I'm going to leave it that way and not make one for it.
Thanks for the love

I know we are in markets far from each other however I am still going to blame you for not being able to find a toy trunk. You seem to have cornered the market. Love the look.
Thanks JonB - I love the look of this one too. Because of the full size hardware on the small trunk it has a masculine look to it. Maybe it was made for a young boy whose family didn't like the idea of him playing with one that was designed for dolls.
This is one of my favorite toy trunks, it is right behind the oak slat style, nothing beats those.
