As you can tell from the photos in the center it was in bad shape. I had it professionally restored and it is beautiful again, all the feet were broken and the wheels came off. It was sitting in the farm house under the windows in my fathers room for 40 or so years and the sun was not kind to it. You can see the top of it in the pic with my motor the top is grey. The feet broke off when I removed it from the house in 2010. This cost a pretty penny but was worth it:)
Beautiful work. Great to save a family heirloom.
Very nice piece & worth every penny as its irreplaceable as are the memories associated with it. Good decision.

Cedar will color that way regardless of the sun as it ages. This is a fine piece and the after pictures on your other post brought it back. When you pass it on your kids will once again do the job. I love cedar and used it for wainscoting here in Florida. I used it because the dam termites don't like it and the natural grain is a creation of it's own in every piece. I love this, before and after.
Thanks for the nice comment:) fhrjr2 they are very appreciated.
