I am thrilled to share with you an extremely!! beautiful pair of...
Victorian-era Loetz enameled vases, Aurora DEK I/30, PN unknown, ca. 1890.
That old prickly feeling I had a going on on the back of my neck When I came across this Loetz pair, as soon as I saw them but!!! what I didn't know at the time was that!! and to make it really exciting... it had a 'dek' number which had been unknown till now...
The colour is just to die for, a very girlie!! pink, soft and opalie ...going from an almost but! not quite, solid pink to a lovely clear opal pink down its long slender neck to the bowl...really very pretty indeed!...
From the Lötz Böhmisches Glas, Band 2 (musterschnitte)....page 381.. cites under red tones: aurora (=rosaopal) - rosa translates to pink, so Aurora = pink opal.
It is just under 8 inches or 200mm tall.
I would like to thank Warren with helping me with identifying the colour and the age..
Ps...I apologies for sounding girlie with my description!...it's hard not to when you love something so much!!..;-)
Thank you for looking...:-)

These are amazingly beautiful! So delicate and the flowers are...OMG! Nice going. When I see something like this I am also amazed at how long it's been around. Are these heavy? They don't look it and I don't believe I've ever had the pleasure of handling one. Soooo beautiful!
