A really pretty vase by Kurata Japan, probably 1970s. I think it really demonstrates the Kurata workshop's skill at glass making.
I did not photograph it at all well but you should be able to see the combination of the pink exterior with patterned silver inclusions and the iridescence on the clear casing. The interior is white.
The decor is uniform, it is just the lighting at home that gives it the different patch on the front.

This is a gorgeous vase Karen... I love how they patterned the silver aventurine against that rainbow of colors! I bet it looks even better in person! I know how hard it is to take a good photo with a highly reflective surface like this... I haven't been able to figure it out yet :-)
Thanks for the love guys! For me Kurata are the most accomplished Japanese workshop and you all may own a piece (true! they made a lot of production glass for Mikasa).
