The Graf Zeppelin – The first flight of an airship around-the-world. William Randolph Hearst financed the flight in 1929. These watches and matching fob are to commemorate that event. There are 2 variants of graphics....The standard White dial and the Black "Luminous" version. These were produced by Westclox, circa 1929
    Thanks for looking

Who was selling these at that time 1929 ?
    12. kerry10456 kerry10456, 9 years ago
Eye4, "Thanks".....these were for sale at the "Gift Shops" aboard the ship and docking towers. I've researched though several magazines of the era and never found any references to these, but would guess some major chain store carried them, but that's just a guess

I am always thinking about who was the target market ... Ok, it was a great adventure, but to buy a watch ? Maybe I am too practical?
    14. eye4beauty eye4beauty, 9 years ago
It had to be a "capture the moment" impulse buy for someone to buy this ...
    15. kerry10456 kerry10456, 9 years ago
LOL, that's how I bought them....impulse...seen this one that one and bid high, lol
