Today I made a major discovery in the field of my, amongst others, favorite jewelry; Micro Mosaic. I got the chance to buy this beautiful pendant as bargain only $ 62 because the seller did not know what he had in his possession and its real valid.
This beautiful depicting a beetle and several flowers as roses, pansies and forget-me-nots all with a symbolic meaning. There are 2 hallmarks for 800 silver (Optional National Italian Silver hallmark used between 1872-1933, woman's head beneath a three) performed in Vermeil. A real asset for my bulky beetle colony. This pendant is missing only a few glass particles under the bail but to be restored.
I am again very pleased with it as you can understand.
Measurements: long 3.2 x 1.2 " (8.2 x 3 cm). Weight: 19 gr.
