We are helping my parents prepare to downsize to a small home. After working to pack and unpack, manuvering through a maze of boxes and crates, nothing more fulfilling than seeing my husbands eyes light up when he discovers this historical baseball club displayed in this antique cigar box.

Unfortuanately, finding additional information on the internet and public libraries has become extremely challenging - at this point non-existent.
Through Tony Hyman's website, we were able to place a time period due to the tax stamp and a date placement on this stamp 1898 and 1901.
    Dimensions: 8-3/8" L x 5-1/8" W x 2-3/4" H
    Fact. No. 659
    1st District WIS.
    50

Any additional information is greatly appreciated. Through the process of downsizing, we have discovered a vast number of ancestors who lived in Wisconsin. Not only learning more about this box but the Baseball Club is important as well.

There is a ball club in Seymour Wisconsin part of Eau Claire. Perhaps you could contact the ball club or local archives there.

Great "Base Ball" collectible-- I always get a thrill out of seeing the early split name!

19th century base ball is a hot collectible field.
