A bit of Hoya glass demonstrating what I call the Japanese sense of quirkiness!
Lead crystal, a teardrop shape and no flat base, in fact the base is rounded (like a teardrop!).
The top has a large air bubble and two eyes, almost shut, have been ground on the front.
What is it?
Some say an owl, on it's side some say a mouse, some say it's a cryptid.
Whatever, it's mighty cute.
You choose!
It's gorgeous Karen....and all the better for being open to interpretation!
Ahhh thanks Peggy! It is a cutie!
Ok, here's my take...I just know you've been waiting for this one hahaha.
Pic 3 are you ready Karen? It looks like there is a little girl in there, say driving a space ship or something of the sort. I know, bizzare but that's what I see. ;)
I also came to show you some crazy adorable little characters, take a peek:

This one made me think of you, ya know, the 'Japanese' thing...
I like the girl in the spaceship....well seen!
How did you find those gorgeous handmade figures? Really appeal to me.
So glad you understand what I see there. Was hoping you wouldn't wonder what the heck was wrong with me...lol! I suppose that's what happens when one is raised around artists. It rubs off, thankfully.
It's where I spend a grip of time at my own place there. She makes all of them. Aren't they adorable. I don't think they could be any more appealing than they are. The maker is a sweetheart as well. Glad you like those.
