A couple of months ago I posted this in its slightly aged state I have completed a refurbish of this unit. Please view the other pictures for further details.

It body has been sand blasted and powder coated in as close as I could to the original colours without blowing my budget. The wheels have been painted with enamel and I did the pin striping ( still need a lot more practice).
The chrome work was also stripped and that you see now is actually chrome powder coat with a clear powder coat over it also. This will take the knocks a bit better so I am told.

All the stickers have been remade and the # of 200 is being redone now we have a bit more detail to place in it.

Hopefully it is an acceptable job and will make a nice addition to someone's collection in the not too distant future.

GREAT JOB....i like getting them powder coated...i think will last longer and cant see scratches like in paint...the chrome powder coat u got done on bumpers doesnt looki like chrome when they add the clear coatbut to me gives it a old look...ive gotten it done on 3 of my torpedos and love it

      Hi all
Thanks for your kind comments I quite happy with it.
I agree Alex it does take a little of the chrome look away and almost ages it. I think the actual feel of the powder coat is great, a lot easier than all the paint prep work.
Only trouble you have to metal finish and it's been years since I have done that.

Hi there I have just got hold of Number 188 and it is not the greats condition. Any help on who can do certain thing would be greatly appreciated. This is my first try at fixing a pedal car and I love mine as a child and would love to have this little guy to pass on.

i powder coated one of my torpedo pedal cars and found out it hurts the value ALOT....better to get it painted...i spend 700 on a restoration by a custom body shop but the pedal cars that are worth spending that money have to rare and NOT replicas...which is what u currently are lookin at...they are made by pedal car classics 2000
