      this is extremely strange

      i got some assumptions here

      it reads He Chaozong which is ming dynasty 1368–1644 and it reads dahua

      well thats is impossible

      so the next question is this a revival piece

      define revival piece = the Dahua potter Su Xiejin started a so called He Chaozong revival period which ended in the early 20th. Ct..

      the point is the whole tonality is off color , but also the cisele of the mark is off

      actually it looks like a copy of a copy

      It looks like a copy but a well done one where the mouldings look good. I had one similar (same size) (not chinese) but it was about 10 years ago I got it and then I assumed it was new.

      ok next time you do the analisys and the chinese and the revival assesment
