I was walking my dogs and came across this old house with the windows boarded up. As my dogs did their ...hmmm..bussiness, I left. But I got about 30 feet away and was hit with this incredible urge to return. I did and was pulled into the back yard where I saw this Old Telephone Booth.
It doesn't look like it has been touched (Restored) as the petina is really weathered. Some of the windows are broken and the inside is missing all the stuff.
Glass is cheap, and it got me thinking.
1- How much should I offer the owner?
2- How much to restore?
3- How much after restoration?
I really have no idea but it is such a great looking Booth and I am curious as to why I have this strong feeling to buy it?
Any ideas.
PS love the show.

Old english telphone booth 500? They still need to be redone.I know some one who paid 500 each .He put it in front of his bar. This on looks like it still has a lot of glass. The only prob is shipping.Ha
im with vesta i wouldnt of left it till i took it home
Replacing glass is easy and not that much if you find the right place. I would offer up $200 easy, and cross your fingers
BTW anyone that paints cars can paint anything with metal, or any material really. My husband does everything including wicker in his shop on slow days
This can be done easy with a brush after it is scraped and primed .Thats how it was painted a long time ago .Im a painter bring it over.I am custom painting & decorating in jonesborough tn.Collecting stuff is my addiction. Ps make sure you use old weavy glass to match.
I agree that's a great find.
I think sandblasting would make a smoother surface. See I'm planning your hopeful new project?
Ha Ha Ha I have way too many things here unless someone brings something good over. You never know?
Vesta & Tikiray Aint The Only...scrappers Ha! In the House....The Fight is On.
Nice.
Thanks for sharing.
Seeing the booth sitting there like that I can't help thinking what a wonderful out-house it would make, well ventilated and great lighting to peruse the "Monkey-Wards" catalog while you wait. That kind of re-use would also make a costly restoration unnecessary. I'd be proud to plant that baby out behind the house.
Dr. Who ?
Nah, sorry he uses a Police Box.................................
I've always wanted one of these so I built my own English Phone Booth out of 4 French doors. I would of been willing to give a lot more than 500 for one of these, a reproduction one made of teak wood go for up to $2000 and a real one much more. So what happen, did you get it?
Hey, doesn't Harry Potter use one of these to enter the Ministry of Magic? Maybe you need to take a vacation to the U.K. and get inspired as to what you can do with it! Looks like a great project-Enjoy! Shell
Gorgeous!!!
