I have posted the amber and smoke vases by Akane Matsuura before on CW but recently was able to acquire this teal one.
What a trio - gorgeous sommerso, incalmo, organic shapes, and the wonderful colour palette. Even though these use a very European technique, I could never think them anything but Japanese.
She is a very talented artist, and I am currently happily waiting for another work by her (a different series to this).
All are around 14cm and 17cm wide.
Oh wow Karen, these are gorgeous! So surprised to see 3 of them and in just the right colors! I really like the way you set them up too. Really nice!
Thanks a lot Sue.
Ho,,,,,,,Karen, you know, when the number 3 coming, you just start a new collection of this style, there no going back anymore, LOL

These look so well together, each echoing the colours of the others, and all sharing a shape.
Gorgeous group :-)
stunning!!!!
Lovely set Karen! They display beautifully together!
These look stunning together !! Love the beautiful colours :-))
Thanks for the love all!
That's a nice looking trio. Great photos, they look bigger than you describe.
Oh Karen you know how I feel about your Japanese glass, and these are more of the same wonderful! Plus you photograph your glass so beautifully!
So Stunning!! Way to Go Karen!! So Glad you find all these trasures!!
Thanks Deano they are not huge, just have presence!
Thank you for the compliment on my photos Katherine - this lot were a bit dodgy but turned out OK! The glass is, I agree, more than OK.
I'm glad too Rose! Thanks.
Very nice trio, How many different color do you think they produced?
Hi Karen, when I saw the thumbnail of this I thought it would be yours :) very nice. I saw something similar recently, I wonder if it was by the same artist. Sadly it was way out of my price range. Sommerso is so popular
Kerry - I think this is all of them. It might be enough for me anyway! Ta.
Sommerso is lovely but most I see around is Italian, and therefor very collected.
These were probably cheap for what they are; Japanese glass is not known or sort after except by me and a few other loonies. Thanks Fran.
beautiful racer!!
