Mom's Vase

I don't know if this is actually considered American Brilliant cut glass or not...accept my apologies if I've placed it in the wrong category.

This vase is at least 60 years old. My mother used to display dried flowers in it. It's 5" tall base is 3" and so is opening. I doesn't have any brand or numbers on it. The design is interesting with hobstars outlined and forming a heart shape. It almost looks like an owl...the hobstars are the eyes and the pointed base of the heart a beak-or maybe not :)
Does anyone know the maker, the name of the design, or approximate age?
